It's About the Journey Forward

Let's Move Forward Together
We see YOU. You're exhausted from pretending everything's fine.
Maybe you're the parent who lies awake at 2am worrying about your teenager. The one who Googles "How to help my anxious teen" at midnight and finds nothing that actually helps.
Or maybe you're the high-achiever who looks successful on paper but feels like you're barely holding it together. Straight A's and panic attacks. Leadership positions and crying in the bathroom. Everyone thinks you're fine. You know you're not.
Or maybe you're the person carrying something heavy: trauma, grief, pain you've never said out loud, and you're finally ready to put it down.
Wherever you are, whatever brought you here: We see you. You're not alone, and you were never meant to carry this by yourself.
The Soto Therapy team has spent decades sitting with people in Montgomery County who felt exactly how you're feeling right now. Overwhelmed. Stuck. Scared. Hopeless. And we've watched them heal. Not because we have magic answers, but because therapy works when it's done right. When you have a team of clinicians who really listen. Who understand the cultural pressures, the family dynamics, the specific challenges of living in this community. Who give you actual tools, not just "talk about your feelings."
We also believe healing is more than clinical. Our faith shapes how we show up for you—with compassion instead of judgment, and hope grounded in the belief that you were made for more than survival. You don't have to share our beliefs to work with us, and we'll never make faith a condition of care. But for clients who want it, we're glad to weave prayer, scripture, or spiritual reflection into the therapeutic process alongside evidence-based care. However you find strength, we want to help you hold onto it.
Our clinicians work with teens who are drowning in anxiety and parents who don't know how to help them. We work with families who are stuck in painful patterns and need support to break free. We work with trauma survivors who are ready to reclaim their lives. And we work with couples and families navigating major transitions, rebuilding connection after conflict, or finding a healthier way forward through separation and divorce. We do it in English or Spanish, because your story deserves to be told in the language that feels most true.
Here's what we know: You're stronger than you think. And you don't have to do this alone.
Reaching out for help is terrifying. But it's also the first step toward feeling like yourself again.
Let's take that step together, one you don't have to walk alone.
Our Services

Students
Growing up is hard. Between school pressure, friendships, social media, and figuring out who you are, adolescence and young adulthood can feel overwhelming, for kids and for the parents watching them struggle. We work with students at every stage, from the anxious middle schooler to the high achieving senior to the college bound athlete carrying pressure on and off the field. We help young people build the tools to handle it all.

Famalies & Couples
Relationships take work, and every family goes through seasons that test them. Whether you're a couple wanting to grow closer, a family working through a hard patch, or parents navigating separation or divorce, we offer the guidance and structure to help you move forward. From marriage enrichment to reunification therapy to co-parenting coaching, we help families build the kind of connection that lasts.

Athletes
We specialize in Sports Psychology because we recognize that being an athlete is both a privilege and a responsibility. Whether for occasional fun, for healthy exercise and socializing, or to compete at the highest level in elite teams, we are here to help you be as psychologically fit as you are physically fit. We know that to be truly fit you must be emotionally, socially and physically at your very best. We have a holistic approach to working with athletes, and teams. We partner up with physical therapists and nutrition specialists to create an athlete center, an individual plan for success both on and off the field.

Individuals
Sometimes the hardest work is the work we do on our own. Whether you're facing stress, anxiety, depression, grief, or something you've never been able to name, we provide a space to be honest and a path toward feeling like yourself again. Wherever you're starting from, we'll help you take the next step toward becoming the fullest version of who you're meant to be.

Group Therapy
Sometimes healing happens fastest alongside others who understand exactly what you're going through. Our group therapy programs bring together children, teens, and adults for psychoeducational and therapeutic groups built around shared experiences, whether that's anxiety, grief, social skills, or the challenges of a particular life stage. Groups offer connection, practical skills, and the relief of realizing you're not the only one carrying it.

Reunification Therapy
Some family relationships need more than time to heal, they need structure, expertise, and a steady hand. We provide court-ordered and voluntary reunification therapy, helping parents and children rebuild trust after estrangement or separation. Angela Soto is a designated expert witness in Montgomery County Courts, and we work closely with attorneys, guardians ad litem, and judges throughout the process, so families get care that holds up both clinically and legally.
